PVTA Launches Next Generation Website

SPRINGFIELD, MA.,--Today the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority launched their next generation web site for www.pvta.com. With quick and simple navigation users now have the ability to browse the site that was designed to be targeted and efficient.

“Our website receives very high use on a daily basis.  The new website is navigated through a straightforward manner using a menu list. The user will quickly find their desired page of interest plus we’ve added several new pages. Another newly enhanced feature is found on our Contact pages, they contain sound tags that now allow visually impaired persons to send emails to us via the contact page,” said Mary MacInnes Administrator of the PVTA.

New website pages include a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), Annual Report, a Photo Gallery, Message from the Administrator, and a PVTA Directory. The PVTA Fare and Pass information is now presented in a colorful and interactive style. Quick Links and Google Translate are accessible on the sidebar on every page. The enhanced visibility of the Google Trip Planner, provides detailed travel information to assist riders in planning their trip, can also be found on each page on the sidebar.  Quick Links provides fast, ready access to the more popular pages such as schedules, fares, and maps. The schedule pages are organized by town and are displayed on a tab panel. Each bus schedule lists bulleted stops, a quick-view map, and a full view map to view street and route details.
