Procurement Officer at PVTA
The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA) has an outstanding opportunity for a high energy self-starter to join our management team. The Purchasing & Procurement Manager performs the PVTA's purchasing and procurement functions and directs the Authority's competitive bidding, competitive negotiation, and quote solicitation processes; ensures related activities promote full and open competition and are in accordance with applicable laws and FTA requirements; and develops, monitors, and enforces PVTA's own procurement policies and procedures. Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university. At least 5 years of procurement experience in public transit with sound knowledge of FTA's procurement regulations. Experience in Business or Public Administration and grant/contract administration in the transit industry, at the federal or state level strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, computer and communication skills. Competitive wage with excellent benefits package.
